London in the summer ☀️😎

Winters can be rough with the biting cold but ultimately, I love London all year round. Every season has something to offer but summer just has something special!

And yes the sun is one of those things 🌞

It’s no secret that the sun brightens our moods but summer in London also seems to be full of life.

There are countless events happening all over the city and while that does create EVEN MORE body heat on the poorly air-conditioned underground lines, you can feel a buzz about the city.

You can hear a buzz too as every flying insect known to UK soil seems to swarm around your head while you lay on the grass in the park.

It’s all part of it though - summer in London 🥰

Paris does have something special ❤️

The first time I visited Paris, I didn’t love it. I went through the touristy spots and ran around like a lunatic for 36 hours but I didn’t really experience Paris.

🌧️It was also overcast and rainy for much of my first trip, despite it being the middle of summer, and I unfortunately let this affect my view of Paris.

The shots in this video are all from my second trip where most of the time it was overcast and a rainy again. But this time, I embraced it and now I love Paris!

The truth is, if we constantly think we’ll have a better trip when the weather is on our side, then we hugely reduce our chances having a good time. Of course we’d all love some sunshine on our travels, particularly if you’re leaving London, but it doesn’t always work out like that.

✨Learning to make the most of your trip, come rain or come shine, makes for a much better time.

The best of a good bunch ✨

When coming to London, people tend to miss out on some real gems because they’re so focused on the touristy landmarks in the centre.

Nothing wrong with that at all, but if you have time to venture out, I would highly recommend putting these three places on your list!

⛴️ GREENWICH

In the short distance between Greenwich Park and the river, there is so much to see and do, so it’s worth dedicating a full day to Greenwich alone. Cutty Sark, The Painted Hall and The Observatory are all brilliant visits but the market and the cute shops are lovely to peruse too.

🏙️ Canary Wharf

Canary Wharf is so different to the rest of london and kind of exists on its own little island (literally). It’s not just full of high rise office buildings though. There’s the Museum of London Docklands, Crossrail Place Roof Garden and even hot tubs that you can float around the quays on! Not to mention that there’s a whole shopping centre and SO many places to eat.

🌳Richmond

It may be seem further from London but Richmond is only 16 mins from London Waterloo so it’s very easy to get to. The high street is so lovely and very quickly takes you the iconic Richmond Riverside. I’ll admit that in summer it can get pretty busy but there’s such a great vibe and you can watch the sunset from Richmond Hill in the evening. 🌅Nearby are some fabulous places to visit such as Ham House and Kew Gardens, and of course you also have Richmond Park with the deer!

Spring flowers in London 💐🌷

I love this time of year when London starts to come back to life! Tulips are one of my favourite flowers, so this display was a gorgeous treat.

You can find these ones just by Embankment station, which is also very close to the river (the north side).

A lovely little walk would be starting at Waterloo station, cross the Golden Jubilee Bridges, and head over to Trafalgar Square. Stop by this garden on your way of course!
